How to avoid commercial disputes?

Commercial disputes are costly, damage relations, drain internal resources and often have an uncertain outcome. Sometimes it is of course necessary to take a fight. However, we believe many disputes could have been avoided or contained at an early stage, to the benefit of both parties.

By drawing on both academic insight and practical experience, this seminar will explore why commercial disputes arise, how they can be avoided or contained early, how relationships and commercial considerations should be balanced in a dispute and how you should prepare if a dispute is simply unavoidable.

The agenda will be as follows:

  • Why do disputes arise, how do we avoid them and how do we prepare for them when they are unavoidable? A litigation counsel’s perspective (by attorney Daniel Sipos, BAHR)
  • Panel debate: How do in-house counsels view and work with dispute avoidance? Three insightful panelists from different industries will present their perspectives on how disputes can be avoided, contained and managed early – and when it is necessary to take a fight. We are delighted to be joined by the following panelists:
    • Anne Margrete Ringheim, General Counsel at Tomra
    • Gro Løge, Group Legal Counsel at DNV
    • Marta Kvåle Brødsgaard, Legal Counsel at DNB

Afterwards we invite everyone to continue the discussions over food and drinks in our lounge.

Join us for engaging discussions and valuable insights into this important topic! The seminar will be conducted in Norwegian.
