Together with Paul Hastings, we have the pleasure of inviting you to a Compliance Breakfast Seminar on 17 March 2022. We will provide you with an overview of the extensive trade sanctions and export control measures imposed by the EU and US against Russia and Belarus as a response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and discuss the implications for global and Norwegian businesses.

Agenda:

  • Paul Hastings partner Tom Best, who is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C office, will provide an overview of the US sanctions that have been implemented and potential further sanctions that may be expected to be introduced in the upcoming time. He will provide further guidance on the applicability of US sanctions for Norwegian and EU based companies.
  • BAHR will provide an overview of the imposed EU sanctions and the implications for Norwegian and EU based companies.
  • Paul Hastings and BAHR will also discuss practical advice on how to meet the new sanctions risk landscape.

Tom Best is an international investigations, enforcement defense and compliance lawyer, and a partner in the Investigations and White Collar Defense practice based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.
