Peter Aall Simonsen new partner at BAHR

Peter Aall Simonsen will join BAHR as partner on 1 October 2025, bringing comprehensive expertise across renewable energy projects, complex financing arrangements, and restructuring matters to further strengthen the firm's market-leading capabilities within these fields.

Mr. Simonsen is recognised as a top-tier infrastructure, project development and finance lawyer with an impressive track record spanning wind, hydropower, biomass and interconnector projects, offtake agreements and complex cross-border project financings. Throughout his career, he has advised investors, project developers, lenders, export credit agencies and other relevant parties on sophisticated renewable energy transactions, asset-based financing, restructuring and distressed debt matters.

In addition to his legal expertise, Mr. Simonsen regularly serves as adviser or board member for companies in challenging situations and has earned widespread recognition from leading legal directories. His industry leadership extends beyond legal practice, having served as Chairman of the Norwegian Wind Energy Association (NORWEA) from 2014 to 2022 and currently sitting on the election committee of Renewables Norway (Fornybar Norge).
