Mattias’ principal areas of work are private M&A, private equity, and venture capital. He advises on all types of private transactions in the Nordic and has extensive experience working for private equity and venture capital sponsors as well as family offices.
He is among the most active M&A lawyers in Denmark in the past 15 years according to Mergermarket, and has worked for many of the leading and most active financial sponsors in the region,including EQT, Nordic Capital, Polaris, Axcel, PSG Equity, FSN Capital, Valedo and Standard Investment.
He is a recognised practitioner and is individually ranked in all major international ranking institutions,including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
Mattias is a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen from 2011 and has been a lawyer since 2014. He joined BAHR in 2026.
Mattias has previously been an external lecturer in properties law at the University of Copenhagen and is also the author of several academic peer-reviewed legal journal articles within M&A, venture capital and related topics.
