Norwegian Public Merger Deal Study 2024

We are pleased to present BAHR’s Norwegian Public Merger Deal Study, a comprehensive analysis of the public merger landscape in Norway from 2016 to 2024. This study examines the developments and key terms of mergers involving at least one company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, covering aspects such as pricing, merger structure, premiums, and conditions for closing. While the majority of public transactions remain structured as takeovers, our study reveals that several significant transactions during this period, particularly from 2020 to 2023, were structured as mergers (with BAHR being involved in four out of five mergers in this period).
