Although many commercial disputes are resolved through arbitration, public courts continue to serve as a vital forum in Norway. We believe that a key factor behind this is the courts’ proactive efforts to remain a relevant and attractive alternative to arbitration. This edition features a conversation with District Court Judge Anette Barth and Supreme Court Justice Christian Lund, who share their perspectives on these issues and offer insights into how Norwegian courts address large commercial disputes.
